Jellybean Jah was originally the brainchild of Barrie and Annie. To convey the message of ‘no wars, no hate, it’s not too late to change, change the world’ through an art and music project. We hope that this will strike a chord with you and by your words and actions the world will change one person at a time…. ‘Take the power of one and make the dream come true!’
This poem by Barrie sums it up! – life’s too short - so have a sense of humour and don’t get caught up in PC!
Life in a Jellybean Jah
Can be sweeter than sweet whoever you are
With someone to love and to love you right back
Whether your suit is Vuitton or a sack
Whatever the pencil that coloured your face
Whatever the stencil that moulded your space
There’s no preferential religion or race
Nobody is holding the ace
With art to be drawn and songs to be sung
And nice things to say on the tip of your tongue
Smiles to be smiled and laughs to be laughed
Who made the bubbles pop up in the bath?
Stop all the troubles that turn into war
We search through rubble burnt to the floor
Searching for peace but all that we find
Is a piece of her doll that stepped on a mine
Let’s lie in the sun and ride on a wave,
Slide off the grid
Did the humpback get saved?
Under the assumption material corrupts
And nearly all adults have never grown up
And speaking of pups!
I hope I come back as a dog not a man
I can lick what I like, because I can
Nor a hog in a sty, nor a chick in a coop
I can puff, pant, piddle and poop.
Live life in a Jellybean Jah
We all need a sweetie whoever we are
Like Nefertiti’s graffiti on walls
To be more specific hieroglyphics they’re called
I once read these words, their mantra sank in
Was it in Bonn or maybe Berlin?
If you Vant to be cool, Frau und Herr
Rule number vun....No Vankers!
